![]() OR maybe at every level of pollution you pop up a screen that warns ominously "In 10 turns the world will end in fire!" and then in 10 turns just have nothing happen and then throw that same warning up again, rinse and repeat. Nobody wants to live in a disgusting sewer whether there's food or not. Integrate it better into the growth paradigm. At least put it in the options to disable. Tacking on hefty bonus AND malus at the ends would be appropriate.īack to the pollution- ditch it if you can't have a robust and interesting system. It really should modify at every era and scale steeply at the ends to make it worth the effort. The ideology scale is fairly inconsequential and really only has a worthy effect very early on. (does not apply to Natural modifiers that don't increase Tile yields or Rivers/River Springs. +2Influence -3Pollution Must be placed on a Natural Modifier, including water tiles. #HUMANKIND POLLUTION FREE#After the mid-game one where you get a few free caracks I can't think of even one that's worth bothering with. The Nature Reserve is a generic District, which is available in Cities after the player reached the Industrial Era and researched the Nationhood technology. The events should be meaningful, interesting and there should be LOTS more of them with some randomness so they don't become stale or expected. ![]() I took a -50 stability for refusing a civic change AND a -50 because the AI had raised the pollution and it had ZERO net effect on me. When I'm putting out 6k gold, -80 doesn't even register. ![]() When I'm cranking out 3k production, +5 or -10 means nothing to me. The scaling is so bad later in the game that I have to believe it's a bug. That event truly highlights one of my greatest disappointments with the game- the triggered events that are almost always of little to no consequence and often have a 'right one' and a 'wrong one'. Every time I see that ridiculous 'Inconvenient Truth' event pop up I just sigh and shake my head. It was then, and remains now, an almost entirely local or regional problem. ![]() For one, pollution starts MUCH earlier in reality than in the game. The pollution mechanic is not realistic at all. ![]()
